Brief History about Youth Centre

In September 1997, the foundation secretary of Educare Trust, Dr. Tony Marinho proposed the establishment of an exhibition centre. This proposal was well received by members of the Trust, who promptly formed a committee that was known as Educare Trust Exhibition Centre (ETEC) Committee. In the course of his trip abroad, Dr. Marinho expanded the idea and from the support and funding he received, he was able to purchase 103 education wall charts, 215 display picture cards, Native American craft pieces and 5 CDs for CD–ROM computers, as the foundation materiel for the centre. The donation of a short-term site by Mr. Niran Fafowora facilitated the setting–up of a temporary centre, as a prelude to securing a permanent site.
